This six-week course is designed for complete beginners. I designed it so that people with no experience can quickly learn how to confidently communicate the basics in Japanese. In each of the weekly 90min lessons, we will learn how to read, write, pronounce, and formulate sentences. It’s going to be a lot of fun!

After six weeks, you will be able to 

  • Read and write all of the Hiragana characters
  • Understand Japanese pronunciation
  • Introduce yourself in Japanese
  • Communicate using Japanese S-O-V sentence structure
  • Conjugate verbs
  • Feel confident holding simple conversations
  • Use survival phrases for travel
